Hello! My name is Christina Igl and I am the Honors Learning Community (HLC) Coordinator and Honors advisor for students in the College of Health and Human Services as well as the College of Musical Arts.
I was a member of the Honors College at Michigan State University where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Humanities, additional major in Spanish, and a minor in Peace and Justice studies. I also participated a residential learning community and am thrilled to be a part of the Honors Learning Community experience here at BGSU.
Post graduation, I served as a member of AmeriCorps (similar to the Peace Corps, but within the United States) developing and leading college access initiatives within the K-12 school system at small district in West Michigan. I then returned to Michigan State to earn my master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration while gaining experience in residence life, undergraduate research/academic affairs, student government advising, and career and leadership programming.
In my free time, I enjoy learning new skills from hula hooping to furniture building to sewing. Walking outdoors or reading in a comfy chair while eating something I whipped up in the kitchen are also some of my go-to activities.
Please feel welcome to connect with me at email@example.com.
