Scholarships and Awards for Prospective Students

Each year BGSU Honors College students receive over $6.8 million dollars in scholarships.  Our students find scholarships in and outside of the Honors College. Honors College staff are also willing to help you find scholarships, and help you market your skills and interests as you are applying for these scholarships. 

Honors College Scholarships

Honors Experience Study Abroad Scholarship

$2,000 to participate in BGSU Study Abroad awarded to all Honors students who apply by deadline.

Deadline to apply for Fall is March 1st.

Presidential Scholars Award

Full in state tuition and fees.

Must be admitted to BGSU and complete the Honors College application by Nov. 15th.

Alumni Laureate Scholarship

Full in state tuition, fees, and $1,000 book award.

Must be admitted to BGSU and complete the Honors College application by Nov. 15th.

McGranaghan Scholarship

2 scholarships offered - $5,000 scholarship

Must be admitted to BGSU, have a major in the Schmidthorst College of Business, and complete the Honors College application by Nov. 15th.

Forsyth Award

Up to 2 scholarships offered - Full in state tuition and fees.

Must be admitted to BGSU, declare a major in the School of Earth, Environment, and Society, and complete the Honors College application by Nov. 15th.

Dean Simon Morgan-Russell Scholarship in Arts & Science

1 scholarship offered - award amount varies

Deadline to apply for Fall is March 1st.

Sidney A. Ribeau President's Leadership Academy (PLA)

Full in-state tuition and fees

Must complete scholarship application by December 6, 2023

Falcon Achievement Award

$1,000 - $3,000 renewable scholarship

Must complete scholarship application and FAFSA by February 15, 2024

Thompson Working Families Scholarship Program

$5,500 renewable scholarship

Must complete scholarship application and FAFSA by February 15, 2024

Bravo Music Awards
