Hello! My name is Sara Aniol and I am originally from Columbia Station, Ohio which is 30 minutes outside of Cleveland. I am a sophomore majoring in Data Science with a minor in coaching. I played softball and soccer in high school and am currently on the BGSU club softball team. In addition to being an Honors Ambassador, I am a waitress at the Black Swamp Pub on campus as well as the secretary of the club softball team. I have a yellow jeep wrangler at home that I love driving more than anything in this world. I love BGSU and my hope is to share my experiences with prospective students so they can have the same great opportunities that I have been offered.
Hello everyone! My name is Lydia Bias, I am a first year here at BGSU, and I am from Castalia, Ohio. I am majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and I plan to attend graduate school to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. Along with being an Honors Ambassador, I am a member of the Honors Learning Community, the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, the BGSU Club Swim Team, CRU, Warm-Up BG, and I am a peer mentor for the College of Health and Human Services. I love spending time with the friends I have made here and I also love to share my experiences to help incoming students decide that BGSU is the right choice for them!
Hi! My name is Shannon Cleary, and I am a junior at BGSU studying Public Relations and Dance. I am originally from Stow, Ohio. In addition to serving as an Honors Ambassador, I am a Campus Tour Guide and part of University Dance Alliance and Public Relations Student Society of America. Dance is my passion and has been part of my life for 18 years now! I would love to work in PR within the arts. I love sharing my experiences with prospective students in the hopes that they will find a place that feels as much like home as Bowling Green does for me. Hey there! My name’s Leigh A. Dunewood (I use she/her/hers pronouns) and I’m a senior dual majoring in Ethnic Studies and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I loved growing up in Columbus, Ohio but I’m really excited to be moving out of the Midwest for my graduate studies next fall! I absolutely adore our Honors College—formally, I’ve been involved as an Honors Ambassador, a Peer Facilitator, and a Peer Mentor. Informally, I’ve done a lot of behind-the-scenes work with the Honors College staff related to equity and inclusion initiatives. I enjoy interacting with prospective Honors students and helping them find their fit in our awesome community of scholars!

My plans are to attend graduate school to become either a Speech Pathologist or an Audiologist. I am originally from Wooster, Ohio. In addition to serving as an Honors Ambassador, I am a member of the Honors Learning Community, Honors Student Association, an active serving Opening Weekend Group Leader, an active member of the BGSU chapter of National Student Speech Language Hearing Association, as well as the Executive Social Chair of ALD-PES National Honor Society. I play on an intramural soccer team and love finding opportunities across campus to become as involved as I can! I work with prospective students because I love sharing my personal experiences and giving back to the organization that played a part in my decision to attend BGSU.
Hi! My name is Amanda Fairbairn and I use she/her pronouns. I’m originally from Toledo, but I spent a lot of my childhood around campus because my dad works for BGSU. I’m a freshman, and my major is sociology. I also have minors in biology and chemistry because I hope to attend medical school after graduation. I work at the Slater Family Ice Arena, even though I don’t know how to skate. I DJ at Qdoba on Thursday nights and at The Attic on Saturday nights. In my free time on campus, I’m involved in the BGSU mediation team, Honors Scholars, and WBGU-FM. I also volunteer at Wood Lane School about once a week. I enjoy painting, reading, debating, and watching hockey or tv with my friends. I’m an Honors Ambassador because I love sharing the opportunities and growth that the Honors College has provided me with future students.
Hello! My name is Natasha Flesher and I am a senior on the Neuroscience Pre-medicine track. I am from Akron, Ohio. I am currently involved in Midlife, Mortar Board, AMSA, Honors Scholars and have been involved with many more in earlier years. I have finished up a CURS summer research grant and am involved in volunteering with Camp Quality Ohio and the Wood County Hospital. I am planning on attending Medical school and specializing in either Neurology or Neurosurgery.
My name is Cameron Friedman, and I am a current third-year student double majoring in Biology and Psychology on a pre-med track. I am originally from Pickerington, Ohio, which is a suburb right outside Columbus, Ohio. Some things I like to do in my free time is watching reality television and frequenting local coffee shops. Along with being involved as an Honors Ambassador, I am involved with the Alumni Laureate Scholars, Honors Scholars, Student Wellness Network, Dance Marathon, and currently work as a Resident Advisor in Founders Hall. Being an Honors Ambassador has given me the opportunity to give back to BGSU and the Honors College through assisting prospective students in navigating their college decision making process along with providing them information on the opportunities and experiences Honors has given me and can potentially provide them in the future.

Hello! My name is Tai Knoll and I am a music education major. I am originally from Huron, Ohio near Cedar Point. In addition to serving as an Honors Ambassador, I am also a member of the Alumni Laureate Scholars Program, Ohio Collegiate Music Education Association, various musical ensembles, athletic band, CHAARG, a member-in-training for Sigma Alpha Iota, and various other campus organizations. As you can probably tell, I spend a lot of time in the College of Musical Arts with ﬂute. However, when I am not practicing, I am usually listening to music or hanging out my with friends. Being a part of the Honors College has granted me so many opportunities for experiential learning inside and outside of the classroom. Hi! My name is Rachel Lundeen and I am currently a junior studying Adolescent/Young Adult Integrated Mathematics Education. My hometown is Findlay, Ohio, so I am very familiar with this northwest area of the state. On campus, I am a tutor for the Math in Action tutoring center. I love spending time with my friends, my family, and of course, my dog. When I was an incoming student at BGSU, talking to the Honors Ambassadors was my first step in realizing my potential both within and beyond the classroom. As a future science teacher, I am a member of the Science and Math Education in ACTION program and the Bowling Green Science Education Council. Hi! I'm Sammy Martin and I am a senior Music Education major from Swanton, Ohio. The Honors College has been a big part of my life since I've been here at BGSU, both in my classes and through several Honors student organizations. I am also a member of the Music Ambassadors and the director of Not Yet Perfect, a pop a cappella group. In my spare time (if I ever have any) I also enjoy drawing, reading, and writing. I am currently a member of the Student Philanthropy Committee, PPEL Club, Vanguard Men’s Organization, and the BG Radio Sports Organization. When not in class or studying, I enjoy reading non-fiction, hanging out with my friends, and watching any baseball or hockey game. I believe in the importance of giving back, which is why I chose to become an Honors Ambassador.
