Dr. O’Brien has a passion for neurologic and pediatric rehabilitation particularly in working with those in critical care or those who have complex medical needs. She has taught in neurologic, pediatric, acute care, and cardiopulmonary physical therapy practice.  Prior to teaching, Dr. O’Brien practiced locally at Toledo Hospital and Toledo Children’s hospital where she worked with patients in acute care, critical care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, and home health.  Her professional degrees include a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Information Management from The Ohio State University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Indianapolis.  Dr. O’Brien is a board certified clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy.
