The College of Musical Arts at BGSU has transformed and empowered the lives of generations of educators, performers, scholars and audiences for decades. Fund Designations

College of Musical Arts General Support Fund - The College of Musical Arts is dedicated to academic excellence and ensuring students are exposed to a quality music education. Your gift to the college’s General Support Fund sustains all that makes the college exceptional and equips our students to realize their power for good.

College of Musical Arts Scholarships and Awards - The College of Musical Arts General Scholarship Fund provides students in our college with the resources they need to pursue a quality education, discover and nurture their passions and realize their potential for a meaningful and successful career. Your gift to the CMA Scholarship Fund helps the college recognize the academic merit and talents of our most outstanding students and help make a quality education accessible and affordable for students who could not otherwise attend. Annual contributions to this fund are also automatically counted towards the Pro Musica Recognition Society.

Pro Musica Scholarship Endowment - This fund provides sustained financial support for talent-based scholarship and professional development opportunities for music students.

Men’s Chorus Fund - Widely reputed as “America’s Finest Singing Machine,” the BGSU Men’s Chorus shares the beauty, joy and connections of music with one another and the public. You have the opportunity to support the work and power of the BGSU Men’s Chorus and continue the tradition in perpetuity.

Bowling Green Philharmonia - From the orchestra’s humble beginnings in 1918 consisting of eight students and faculty, to 80 students strong 100 years later, much has changed. Today, your gift will help support orchestral activities at BGSU so we can continue strong for years to come.

University Band Development - This fund directly enhances the mission of the University Bands program, including student financial support, equipment, guest lectures, guest conductors, travel and more.

Choral Activities - The CMA is home to five principal choral ensembles: The University Men’s and Women’s choruses, University Chorale Society, Collegiate Chorale and A Cappella Choir. This fund provides funding for the greatest needs of all these ensembles.

Jazz Lab Band Activities Fund - Founded in the early 1960s, the Jazz Lab Band supports the activities of BGSU’s large jazz ensembles, which make more than 20 appearances annually. Private gifts support travel, guest artists, ensemble development, equipment and more.

Mid American Center for Contemporary Music - Gifts to the Mid American Center for Contemporary Music support a variety of activities that foster creativity, performance, research and education in contemporary music and technology, including the annual New Music Festival.

Athletic Bands Fund - In addition to supporting our players on the field (or court or ice), our Athletic Bands cheer on the Falcons and their fans with spirit and songs, such as the beloved “Ay Ziggy Zoomba.” Your gift in support of the Athletic Bands helps make it possible for our musicians to travel to special away games throughout the year.
