University Policies
The Office of General Counsel is responsible for the posting of all university policies. The policies found on this website are the official University policies. In the event a party wants to create a new policy or change an existing policy, the policy template must be requested by contacting the Office of General Counsel (x2-0464). Before requesting policy review by the Policy Review Council, there are several steps to be completed, including constituent feedback, review by the Office of General Counsel, and the submission of the Equity Impact Assessment. Please use the Checklist for Policy Development to assist in the policy drafting or revision process. The Policy on Policy Development also outlines the full process.

| 3341-3-45 | General Library Use | Internal library policies were updated, minors were defined, vaping was added as being prohibited within in the library, and persons may not engage in collecting signatures, canvassing on behalf of candidates for public office or ballot issues, soliciting sales for a business, or distributing leaflets inside the library. Failure to comply with these policies may result in being asked to leave the library as well as campus security being called or other relevant university authorities. |
| 3341-3-85 | Student Location Policy | Federal regulations require that institutions determine location of students while enrolled in professional licensure programs. The Student Location Policy guides BGSU in these determinations using the three different address fields (Residence Hall, Mailing, Home) in the BGSU campus management system. |
