About the Center for the Future of Forensic Science
Message from the Director of the Center for the Future of Forensic Science
I am appreciative of the opportunity to serve as the first Director of the Center for the Future of Forensic Science (Center). BGSU and the Ohio Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) have combined their expertise and created an innovative opportunity for teaching and research.
The Center provides educational programs for BGSU students, forensic scientists, crime scene investigators and other law enforcement practitioners. We look forward to expanding opportunities for BGSU students in areas such as forensic accounting and digital evidence analysis.
The Center for the Future of Forensic Science supports research that will lead to new methods for processing and analyzing evidence, generate new understanding of the neurochemistry and toxicities associated with substances of abuse and so much more. These efforts in teaching and research place the State of Ohio at the forefront of forensic science.
The Center is dedicated to assisting BGSU and BCI in obtaining its mission to foster innovative forensic scientific research and to create training opportunities for forensic science professionals and students in forensic science-related fields. We want to hear from you. Please come visit us at the College Park Building (Room 14) on the BGSU campus, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
