Highlight (Outstanding student qualities, according to nominating faculty member):
Academically, Lanna is distinguished in the classroom; attentive, active in communications to other students, well-prepared (far beyond what is expected many times), and thoughtful in her relationships with other students. Lanna is hard working, enthusiastic, motivated, intelligent, and a joy to come to class and teach. She has demonstrated a passion to learn the material, and has continually expressed the desire to extend herself beyond the classroom, applying knowledge gained into practical settings. Indeed, Lanna embraces the challenge of not simply memorizing a set of facts; rather, understand the merit of being able to apply concepts learned in class. Lanna’s steadfast dedication to excelling as a student has continued to impress me and, in our opinions, embodies what an exemplary student should be. While Lanna is well-qualified from an academic standpoint, she has also earned our respect as a tremendous person. She displays a selfless attitude and is a team player that is also comfortable working independently. She is humble, extremely diligent, demonstrates strong initiative, accountable, and a respectful young woman. Simply stated, Lanna is an exemplary student.
