Q1: What time does Math Camp start and end in the spring?

A1: Math Camp runs from 9 am to 4 pm for the students, but Math Camp leaders will need access to the building from 6:30 am to 5 pm.

Q2: How much does Math Camp cost the school?

A2: Math Camp costs the school $1500 to cover material expenses, development, training, technologies, food, and beverages. 

Pre-Service Teachers

Q1: How much does it cost to participate in Collegiate Camp?

A1: It is absolutely FREE for pre-service teachers.

Q2: Who is required to attend Collegiate Camp?

A2: Middle Childhood majors specializing in mathematics and Adolescent/ Young Adult Integrated Mathematics Education majors are required, but all other majors are welcome to join!

Q3: What should I bring to Collegiate Camp?

A3: We strongly advise you to bring an air mattress or other soft, cushioned surface to serve as a bed for the evening that you will be staying overnight at Math Camp. 

Q4: How do the spring Math Camps differ from Collegiate Camp?

A4: Collegiate Camp serves as a training for pre-service teachers who will lead future Math Camps.  The spring Math Camps serve elementary and middle school-aged students from various schools in the surrounding area.  BGSU pre-service educators are the volunteers who take on teacher roles as they lead campers throughout Math Camp.
