An immersion program designed for classroom teachers
Complete the Summer Literacy Institute – Online
Presented by the Bowling Green State University Graduate Reading program
Pass the Ohio Assessment for Educators 038 and 039 subtests I and II and you will be eligible to apply for a K-12 Ohio Reading Endorsement and may qualify for the BGSU K-12 Reading Endorsement Certificate.
These courses also serve as the core coursework for the Master of Education in Reading degree.
Master’s of Education in Reading
Although Institute students are not required to enroll in the M.Ed. program, the Institute may act as a catalyst for pursuing the master’s in reading.

All students should submit Praxis II PLT or OAE Pedagogy test scores and official transcripts from all institutions attended.
*Assessment and practicum courses require access to early childhood, middle childhood and adolescent struggling readers.
To obtain the BGSU Pre-K Reading Endorsement Certificate, all endorsement courses must be completed at the graduate level.
