Brittany began teaching at BGSU in 2010 as an adjunct instructor in the Learning Commons. In 2013, she was hired as the cohort coordinator and full time instructor in the School of Intervention Services, College of Education and Human Development. Her role in the School of Intervention Services is to coordinate the online graduate degree programs, including M.Ed. and certificate programs in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Assistive Technology, and Secondary Transition. She spends a great deal of her time recruiting prospective students, assisting them with the application process, and providing academic advising throughout their program of study. Making strong connections and developing a supportive faculty to student relationship with her online students is her goal. Her role also includes teaching online and face-to-face courses in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Assistive Technology, and Secondary Transition. Using innovative online teaching and learning strategies in the Canvas course management system is her favorite part of teaching online. In her classes students engage synchronously and asynchronously through the use of BigBlueButton and VoiceThread.
Brittany resides in Bowling Green with her husband, Bryan and two sons, Payton (7) and Parker (6). You will see her family around town engaging in community events and at BGSU sporting events, including every home BGSU hockey game.
