Educational Foundations & Inquiry
Educational Foundations and Inquiry (EDFI) is the home of the MA in Cross-Cultural and International Education (MACIE) program, and an array of courses on educational foundations, educational psychology, and research and assessment. As an interdisciplinary department in the School of Educational Foundations, Leadership and Policy (EFLP), we teach courses for students in teacher education, special education, counseling and psychological services, higher education, and educational leadership.
The program has developed common expectations for all its undergraduate and graduate courses.
EDFI consists of three distinct academic areas and one field experience program:
- Educational Psychology (Drs. Bang, Fasko, Horner, and Booth [on leave])
- Assessment, Research and Statistics (Drs. Vannatta, Lavery and Galletta-Horner)
- Social Foundations of Education (Drs. Collet, Frey)
- Help-a-child (Judy Zorbach)
