The goal of the educational leadership program is to develop educational leaders who can lead, regardless of their role, so that students learn. Whether as a teacher or as an administrator, the BGSU educational leadership program will provide you the tools "to lead where you are."

Our Career and Technical Educational Leadership program is designed to meet the unique needs of prospective leaders in career and technical education (CTE) settings as they endeavor to prepare students for the demands of the 21st century work force.

Program Delivery

This unique CTE leadership program will be offered in a blended online format with classes meeting face-to-face 3 times per semester (first week, midterm week, finals week) with the remaining class sessions delivered online.

The required coursework for the M.Ed. and principal license consists of 33 semester hours offered over a two-year period.  Candidates who have already earned a master's degree may enroll in our 30-semester-hour educational specialist (Ed.S.) degree program or pursue our 24-semester-hour principal licensure-only program.

CTE Administrative Specialist License

In addition to initial principal licensure, completers may also be eligible to apply for a CTE Administrative Specialist license issued by BGSU/ODE.
