Bio
I began my teaching career as an intervention specialist, teaching lower elementary school in the Springfield Local School District located in Holland, Ohio. I worked mostly worked with children who had cognitive delays. During this time I also received my master's degree as well as my elementary education grades 1-8 license. I transitioned into a first grade classroom then for two years. After starting a family, I began working at BGSU as a student teacher mentor, which then led into teaching a course part-time. In 2008, I was hired on full-time as an instructor. I have also worked with COSMOS, a STEM organization through the university that conducts professional development for practicing teachers through grant funding for several summers.
I am married to Bryan, a 7th grade science teacher and head boys basketball coach at Anthony Wayne Local Schools. We have three daughters, Alyssa, Lyndsay and Kelsey.
