Research Interests
My teaching, scholarship, and service reflect a strong connection between scholarship and professional practice in higher education and student affairs that is central to my work as a faculty member and administrator. My research has four primary foci: (1) professional identity and professional socialization, (2) normative structures (behavioral norms) in professional practice, (3) professional preparation and student development theory, and (4) administrative practice.
