MAT

PURPOSE

The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is used by some colleges and universities as part of their graduate level admission requirements.  The MAT is designed to be a high-level mental ability test requiring the candidate to find the solution of the problems stated as analogies.    

TESTING TIMES

Testing is available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9:00 am and 2:30 pm. Testing candidates can schedule an appointment by calling 419-372-8495.  Please note that due to the number of students testing at this location you should make your appointment two weeks in advance of your desired test date. 

LOCATION

The MAT is proctored in the Test Center, which is a part of the Office of Accessibility Services, located in 38 College Park Office Building.

MATERIALS NEEDED

Testing candidates must present two valid (i.e., unexpired) forms of identification (ID).  One primary form of ID must be government-issued and contain both your photograph and your signature (i.e., Driver's License, Goverment-issued ID, Passport).  The second form of ID is not required to have a photograph or signature (i.e., Credit Card, Library Card, Student ID).  You will be provided with pencils and scratch paper once admitted to the testing room. 

COST

The MAT fee is $70.00, which includes the testing fee required by MAT as well as a BGSU fee.  Payment can be made in the form of a check or money order payable to BGSU.  Testing fees are non-refundable.

TEST LENGTH

Each exam is 60 minutes long.  Please allow an additional 30 minutes for registration.

SCORE REPORTING

Please arrive at the testing center with the name and address of where your score will need to be reported. Once testing has concluded each testing candidate will receive a copy of their score report.
