Thank you for your interest in the Parent Advisory Council. BGSU strives to have a broad representation of individuals with diversity in skills, degrees, experiences, locations, and backgrounds when selecting parents to serve on the Council. The Parent's Fund at BGSU supports student engagement. retention efforts, programming, parent advisory council initiatives and other needs of BGSU students.
Please note the criteria for Council membership:
- Individuals serving on the Council must be the parent or guardian of a currently enrolled BGSU student (i.e., a student registered for 6 or more credit hours each fall and spring semester), and the student must be in good academic and conduct standing with the institution (i.e., have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and not be on University Conduct Probation); and
- Its suggested that members contribute a minimum of $120 annually to the BGSU Foundation with the hope that the gift would support the Parent Fund.
