Bowling Green State University Parent and Family programs provides involvement opportunities for parents and family members of BGSU students and strives to enhance the quality of student life at BGSU. Parent and Family Programs operates within the Office of Campus Activities and we invite parents and family members with any questions, comments, or concerns to please contact the office at any time, we are here for you and your student!

Stay Informed

We are excited to announce that the Access BGSU feature is now available to BGSU students! Access BGSU provides students with the ability to share important data such as Grades, Billing/Payment information, Financial Aid Awards, Holds, and To Do's with a designated proxy (parent, guardian, spouse, etc.). For step-by-step instructions on using Access BGSU, please visit and review the guides listed under "Documentation".

In addition to our communication with you by email, please fee free to check out the information located on our Resources for Parents and Families page and FAQs & Helpful Tips Page to answer questions you may have during this adjustment period.

Please Note: As of March 21st, 2016 CashNet will be accessed directly through Access BGSU. Parents with existing access to View Bill & Make Payment will need to be granted access via the Access BGSU process - the existing parent pin will no longer work. During this transition, parents can still login to CashNet with the student's ID and last name in order to make a payment. This will allow for a means to access CashNet while Access BGSU authorization is being established by the student.

Get Involved

The college years are never easy; they are a time of new friendships, new responsibilities, and new academic and social opportunities. There will be times of joy, sadness, anxiety, frustration and celebration. We are engaged in a partnership— you, your son or daughter and the University.

The fact that you are visiting this page speaks to your commitment to your son’s or daughter’s experience at BGSU. Take every opportunity to visit the campus, especially on special weekends such as HomecomingFamily Weekend and Sibs N Kids Weekend.

Before traveling to campus be sure to check out our Planning a Trip to BGSU page to get access to resources that will help you make the most out of your trip!

Please let us know if there is anything with which we can assist. Once again, welcome to Bowling Green State University!
