Semester Funding

What is Semester Funding?

Semester Funding is the process for student organizations to request funding for a specific semester. Funds are requested for fall each February and are available from July through December. Organizations also have an opportunity to request funding for spring in September or October. Funds requested and approved for spring are available from January through May. Semester Funding applications will be built and submitted through OrgSync. Watch the organization updates and information in the Officer Portal for more information.

How to apply for Funding

To complete the budget request you must be a member of your organization’s portal and have administrative access. It is important that you check that you have these permissions well in advance of the application deadline, as to ensure that you have the ability to learn the system and create your budget before the deadline.

Funding requests must comply with the Student Organization Allocation Board policies. Please be sure to review these policies before building a budget, as certain types of requests are prohibited by policy.

PLEASE NOTE: OrgSync does not have an Auto-Save feature. Please save your budget every 15-20 minutes to avoid losing your budget.

 

Important Dates

Funding Requests for the Fall 2018 Semester will be accepted January 2nd - January 31st, 2018 at 11:59pm.   

SOAB Help Sessions

Organizations who plan to submit a funding application for fall 2018 MUST attend an SOAB Help Session. Presidents and Treasurers are strongly encouraged to attend and represent the organization, but you may send a proxy in your place.  It will be the responsibility of the proxy to ensure accurate information is shared with the group.

The SOAB decision regarding your budget is expected to be distributed to Student Organizations in March.
