Status of Spring 2021 Education Abroad trips
September 3, 2020
Dear faculty, students and partners,
We continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and adhere to local, state and national guidelines. At present, the Department of State continues a "Level 3: Reconsider Travel" for the majority of countries, international flight schedules are still uncertain, and the behavior of the COVID-19 virus in the coming months is unpredictable.
Due to health and safety concerns and the unpredictability of international travel, BGSU is suspending Education Abroad trips scheduled for Spring 2021. I understand this is another disappointing announcement, but the health and safety of our campus community remains our top priority.
Education Abroad opportunities are an important part of a BGSU education, and we will lift this suspension as soon as it is safe for our campus communities. We continue to closely monitor COVID-19 developments nationally and internationally.
Students will have the opportunity to participate in virtual Education Abroad programming for the spring 2021 semester and beyond. If you have any questions, please contact International Programs and Partnerships, Education Abroad, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 419-372-0479 with questions.
