As you complete your first day of online learning, I wanted to check in and reinforce that our learning community is here for you. The change in class delivery may have brought some challenges with technology or adjustments with teaching. However, I am confident we are going to get through this together.

I recognize that this transition is not easy, but I am also struck by the opportunity it brings. While this is not how we imagined the semester going, you deserve the very best of our faculty and staff. As president, that starts with me. If you are having difficulties with your academic experience, I am here to help. Send me an email at so I can assist.

Please know that we are working on providing improved access and additional online resources. We are also making progress on refunds for housing, dining and parking, and exploring changes to academic policies to adjust to these unprecedented times. You will be hearing more from me and Provost Whitehead about these decisions in the coming days.

In the meantime, stay updated with our COVID-19 website and visit for helpful information.

Ay Ziggy Zoomba!
