This spring semester has been truly memorable. Every day, I experience the innovation of our students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends and am reminded of what makes BGSU so special.

BGSU Hatch 2017
A Message from the President
This month, BGSU students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends were once again in the national spotlight and were active in their local communities.

BGSU celebrated another successful Entrepreneurship Week. Since the fall, a select group of students have been working with their industry mentors to prepare their business ideas to pitch to six alumni investors at The Hatch. The Sebo Series in Entrepreneurship brought together the University community to learn and discuss innovative practices in business. Special thanks to Dr. J. Robert Sebo ’58, ’13 (Hon.) for sponsoring the event for 14 years.

Congratulations to Maribeth Rahe ’70, Peggy Schmeltz ’50, ’70 and David Stickler ’83, the 2017 inductees into the Hamilton Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership Hall of Fame! These three outstanding alumni were recognized for their professional and personal accomplishments.

Special thanks to those who participated in BGSU One Day! More than $326,000 was raised in support of Bowling Green State University. Falcons are truly changing the world!

Next month, we host our annual Golden Falcons and Alumni Summer College events. These are two great opportunities to return home. We look forward to honoring our Golden Falcons, alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago. Alumni Summer College is offered to all alumni and friends and features a schedule filled with interactive classes and memorable excursions.

Congratulations to those who were recognized at the Faculty Excellence Awards, including four outstanding professors who were honored for collaborative work, and excellence in creative arts, research and service. Read the inspiring stories of Dr. Sue Carter Wood, Dr. Mikel Kuehn, Dr. Cynthia Baron and Dr. Kefa Otiso!

We recently sent the spring edition of the BGSU Magazine to our alumni and friends. Read about the exciting happenings on our campuses and within our Falcon Family! If you did not receive the BGSU Magazine, update your contact information today!
