Bowling Green State University
A Message from the President
June was another exciting month for BGSU! We're welcoming many of our outstanding Class of 2020 members during Student Orientation and Registration and looking forward to seeing them on campus in the fall!

We also welcomed the 2016 Golden Falcons back to campus. These alumni, who graduated more than 50 years ago, returned home to reunite with friends and celebrate the Falcon Family. A number of them also stayed for our inaugural Alumni Summer College. Participants attended classes focused on lifelong learning, explored the region through excursions and got a firsthand look at the new buildings on campus.

BGSU continues to greatly impact the community through our partnership with the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation. In collaboration with the Ohio Attorney General, we have received a $440,000 grant to streamline the processing of sexual assault kits.

The fall semester is fast approaching. Plan to attend Falcon Family Weekend September 16-18 and Homecoming starting September 30! Event schedules and registration options are being updated regularly.

Falcon Funded, a crowdfunding platform to engage online supporters, directly impacts BGSU students. View the great work happening at our University and make a difference today!

Today marks five full years that I have been president at Bowling Green State University. Every day, I'm thankful and honored to serve this great University because of people like you. There is always more work to be done. Join me in building BGSU's future.

Regards,

Mary Ellen Mazey, Ph.D.
President, Bowling Green State University

This June, more than 125 former student-athletes, coaches and their families traveled to the US Lacrosse headquarters in Maryland. During the reunion, BGSU unveiled a brick pillar at the entrance of the facility commemorating the team’s history and achievements. Special thanks to former coach Mikey Cochrane and former player Mike Wilcox ’75 who led this legacy celebration.
