1. AmeriCorps Positions Available (Full and Part Time)

The TOPSS (Toledo Partners for Student Success) project is looking for 10 members to join our team for 1 year! If you like interacting with kids and are service-minded, PLEASE consider joining our Toledo area AmeriCorps team! A living allowance, education award, child-care, and health care are provided! 2. Men’s Soccer Honors Faculty/Staff Tonight

At 7 tonight, Men’s Soccer takes on Wright State for Staff/Faculty Appreciation Night. Following this contest, on Friday the Falcons will welcome back alumni as they take on Florida International. Kickoff for both games is at 7 at Cochrane Stadium. Admission to all Men’s Soccer games is free.

1. STEM Career Fair

Seeking an internship, co-op, part-time, or full-time opportunity in STEM fields? Plan to participate in the STEM Career Fair, which will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Bowen-Thompson Student Union in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom. This event is open to students and alumni. Registration is required for this event.

2. AUDITIONS for Lady Parts Improv - All female & gender non-conforming comedy team!

Do you like watching, reading or writing funny stuff? Do you crack jokes in your spare time? Are you sick of the same old boring comedians? Well, look no further! Lady Parts Improv wants YOU to come audition for the team. Drop in auditions will be held in Central Hall 103, from 5 to 8 p.m. today. Any female identifying, non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals with a quick wit are welcome to come try out!

You'll be given a monologue to read upon arrival, and will play some short improv games. Come show us what you've got!

4. Green Game Day needs your service help at Homecoming Game!

Green Game Day is a partnership between BGSU Athletics and Campus Sustainability to reduce waste at all home football games. We need your help! Sign up to volunteer as a Green Game Day Recycling Volunteer at any home game this fall! Volunteers help pass out recycling materials, monitor recycling stations, and clean up during football games. The next Green Game Day is this Saturday for BGSU’s Homecoming game! Sign up now to reserve your spot. Contact greenbg@bgsu.edu with any questions.

7. Recovery Support Meeting

Are you a BGSU student in recovery from substance use/addiction? Have you been thinking about quitting, but aren't sure where to start? Are you looking to build community, hope, and support for a lifestyle of recovery while in college? If so, please attend the new Recovery Support Meeting on Tuesdays from 11 a.m.-noon via Zoom. Support topics will vary by week but can include: building a sober support network, relapse prevention, sobriety amid college party culture, & more. 8. STEP Meet & Greet

We invite you to attend our first STEP Meet & Greet at 4 p.m. today, located in Room 427 of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. At this meeting, you will be able to meet program staff, learn more about STEP and how to get involved, and connect with other students. Pizza will be provided.

9. Student Ticketing for Homecoming Game

We are excited to welcome all students to all of our Falcon Athletics home games! Students receive one free season ticket to each of our ticketed sports: Football, Volleyball, Hockey, Women’s Basketball, and Men’s Basketball.

Admission is FREE for all other sports.

All tickets will be digital and can be accessed through your Ticket Office account. Accounts will be created for new students. Once tickets become available, another e-mail will be sent with instructions on how to login and access your tickets!

1. Athletics Ticketing Information

Faculty and staff, don’t miss out on the excitement this year with Falcon Athletics! There are great opportunities that exist for you to receive discounted, or even FREE, tickets to BGSU games this school year! Here is what BGSU Athletics is offering full time faculty and staff this season:

Football: One free 2021 BGSU Football Season Ticket in general admission of Doyt L. Perry Stadium or the chance to upgrade their ticket to a bench reserved seat for as low as $25.

Volleyball: One free 2021 BGSU Volleyball Season Ticket in general admission of the Stroh Center. Additional season tickets can be purchased for $50.

Hockey: Get a bench reserved season ticket for the 2021 BGSU Hockey season for only $190, a $50 savings off of the public price!

Men’s Basketball: Get a chairback reserved season ticket for the 2021 BGSU Men’s Basketball season for only $140, a $33 savings off of the public price!

Women’s Basketball: Get a chairback reserved season ticket for the 2021 BGSU Women’s Basketball season for only $75, a $25 savings off of the public price!

2. New Faculty Fridays - National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD), Sept. 17

New Faculty Fridays is a semester-long orientation process designed for full-time faculty and instructors who have been at BGSU for less than 12 months. New Faculty Fridays are opportunities to connect with other faculty members. During these meetings faculty members will learn about institutional resources, programs, and processes to support their success and the success of their students.
