February 2021
Greetings from the Schmidthorst College of Business as we kick off the spring semester!
Students are back on campus and getting in the swing of things. The Maurer Center has been full of students working on homework, studying in small groups in our collaboration rooms and attending hybrid classes in our brand new classrooms. The Forhan Café has also been busy with students from all over campus coming to get a cup of coffee before class.
BGSU’s Schmidthorst College of Business has been named among the Top 35 Best Public Undergraduate Business Programs in the U.S. by Poets & Quants. The college ranks No. 68 overall, No. 34 among public institutions and No. 2 for undergraduate business programs and academic experience in Ohio.

New Hatchlings have been selected for the upcoming virtual Hatch in April. The product ideas range from wheelchair hand warmers to lawn mower attachments. We’re very excited to watch these Hatchlings pitch their ideas to our investors. Stay caught up on last year’s Hatchlings with these updates from Brandon Bayes and Marissa Brubaker.
We are looking forward to our virtual celebration of Entrepreneurship Week (E-Week) April 19-23. We have a lot of events and exciting things happening this spring in our college. I hope to see you all at the virtual Hatch!
Warm Regards,
