The following scholarships are based on ethnic or racial group membership.  Additional scholarship opportunities can be found through the Office of AdmissionsOffice of Student Financial Aid, and the Searchable Scholarship Guide.

Falcon Achievement Award

This scholarship ranges from $1,000-$3,000 and is renewable.  It is based on financial need, a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and 20 ACT or 1020 SAT* score, race/ethnicity, first generation college student, and commitment to diversity. Apply to BGSU, complete the FAFSA, and submit the Falcon Achievement Award application by January 15. The Robert and Ellen Thompson Scholarship Program for Working Families

This $5,000 scholarship based on financial need. Apply to BGSU, complete the FAFSA, and submit the separate Robert and Ellen Thompson Scholarship Program for Working Families (Thompson Scholarship) application by January 15. The Thompson Scholarship application is located in the Searchable Scholarship Guide in a student's MyBGSU Account (MyBGSU > Financials > Scholarship Opportunities).

Sidney A. Ribeau President’s Leadership Academy (PLA)

Awardees receive a renewable scholarship up to the cost of in-state tuition and general fees. A separate PLA application must be submitted by December 4, 2017.  Please visit the PLA webpage for details on how to apply.  The PLA application is located in the Searchable Scholarship Guide in a student's MyBGSU Account (MyBGSU > Financials > Scholarship Opportunities).

Academic Investment in Mathematics and Science (AIMS)

This scholarship ranges from $1,000-$4,000 based on academic level. To apply, students are preferred to meet the following criteria: GPA of 3.0 and 21 ACT or 1060 SAT*. Students must apply to BGSU, complete the FAFSA, and submit the separate AIMS application by January 15. The AIMS application is located in the Searchable Scholarship Guide in a student's MyBGSU Account (MyBGSU > Financials > Scholarship Opportunities).

AIMS Application Information

A MyBGSU Account can only be created after being admitted to BGSU.
Students admitted to the Pathway Program or the University Program for Academic Success do not qualify for the awards listed above.
