13th Annual MLK Jr. Day of Service Food Drive

Register a team for the MLK Day Campus Challenge - '20 for 21'

Saturday, January 16th and Sunday, January 17th, 2021

BGSU’s Center for Public Impact is seeking 20 organizations, campus offices, groups of friends, student groups, alumni, family & friends to commit to collect 21 food or hygiene items to donate to the Brown Bag Food Project as part of their annual Martin Luther King Day of Service Food Drive Jan. 16 & 17, 2021.  Be part of the "20 for 21" effort!

The Brown Bag team has been coordinating the MLK food drive, which started in 2009, for a number of years.  In the past, volunteers, coordinated by BGSU’s Center for Public Impact assisted in mobilizing Bowling Green State University students, faculty and staff, to canvass neighborhoods throughout the city to collect food and hygiene items. Because of COVID-19 restrictions and concerns, that is not possible this year. But you can still be part of this effort by participating in the BGSU’s MLK Day Campus Challenge – ‘20 for 21’

If you are taking classes online or working from home you can still participate in the Challenge by collecting 21 items and donating them to an agency in your home community.

To participate, we ask that you complete the four simple steps below:

Step 1 - Register your group
