Fall Semester

Leadership Academy is the premier, annual leadership conference at Bowling Green State University, sponsored by the Center for Leadership, Office of Campus Campus Activities, Residence Life, and Fraternity and Sorority Life . This one-day event takes place on October 20th and engages students in educational sessions targeted toward their leadership development. Participants have the opportunity to explore personal and leadership values, network with other campus leaders, and develop the skills necessary for success.

The Center for Leadership’s Falcon Leadership Institute develops self-aware leaders who have the skills to build professional networks and create personal connections within their cohort and throughout campus. Guided by the ideals of servant leadership, students participate in service-learning and leadership projects that enhance the community. Participants begin earning the BGSU Leadership Certificate by learning the skills and competencies necessary for a successful life and career.

The Student Leader Retreat (SLR) has a strong tradition of bringing prominent BGSU student groups together to highlight the importance of their roles on campus. This 2 1/2-day experience is designed to build a foundation for a year of successful collaboration around student events, programs and projects.
