BGSU’s Active Learning Classrooms (ALC) are specially designed spaces that bring together pedagogy, design elements, and technology to help faculty fully engage students in the pursuit of learning. In order to help faculty make the best use of these classrooms, the CFE is pleased to present a new ALC Certificate.

The BGSU Teaching & Learning Certificate Program, administered by the Center for Faculty Excellence, is intended to assist faculty in planning a systemized path to professional development. Open to all BGSU faculty and graduate students, the program provides opportunities to interact with colleagues across campus and to explore current, innovative, and effective teaching strategies that support student success.

Whether the goal is adapting current face-to-face course content for online delivery or finding new innovative ways to deliver materials and assess learning for an online class, CFE’s Instructional Designers offer support to faculty in creating online courses and implementing online tools and technology that will achieve all of the established course objectives.
