BGSU’s Center for Faculty Excellence supports several initiatives that promote inclusive pedagogy at BGSU.  These initiatives are ongoing, intentional, and integrated in the approach to supporting faculty and students within learning environments at BGSU.

The course syllabus plays a key role in communicating to the student a faculty member's expectation of the student as well as what the student can expect of their faculty. There are many different ways to organize and present course syllabi depending on the faculty, discipline, course level, etc. However, there are several common expectations for course syllabi at BGSU: a clear statement on course expectations, the schedule and methods of assessment, indicators of support for student success, and pedagogical efforts that engage students in the learning process.

Camtasia is a powerful application that allows you to record your screen and create and share dynamic videos. You can use Camtasia to record PowerPoint lectures, Canvas course introductions, home work reviews, and other custom videos that are tailored around your content.

Commons is a learning object repository that enables educators to find, import, and share resources. A digital library full of educational content, Commons allows Canvas users to share learning resources with other users as well as import learning resources into a Canvas course.
