Enterprise and Content LMS Integrations

External tools add enhanced functionality to your learning environment within Canvas.  Our collection of enterprise and content tools can be used to add features and content to every course site in Canvas.  The majority of these features are reviewed for security and accessibility.  Also, many are supported locally by BGSU departments except as noted.  Many have no cost for your department or students.  Where applicable faculty should include these anticipated subscriptions and associated costs when providing your list of course materials.

The list below represents vendors that BGSU has worked with to ensure that no FERPA protected data is exposed to unsecured systems. Instructors are asked to be cautious regarding the use of External Tools in order to avoid being personally responsible for data that might be shared and misused in any manner by an External Tool.

If you would like to request an evaluation of an external tool for addition to this list, please fill out a Software Procurement Request.

Canvas StudioCanvas Studio engages learners and instructors. They can share, comment, and give feedback all within the video timeline—and all in real time! That way, learners learn from each other’s insights as well as from the instructor.
Canvas Studio makes it easy for faculty to create engaging video and for students to participate in dynamic conversations as they view the video independently. And it provides a platform for students (who might otherwise be passive and non-participatory in class) to interact and participate.
Khan AcademyInstructors can insert Khan Academic content into Canvas pages, assignments, etc.  Content hosted by Khan Academy, integration maintained by Instructure.KhanAcademy
