Employer Volunteer Opportunities

As an employer, you can play an integral role in helping Bowling Green State University students develop job search skills by networking at on campus events, all while increasing your visibility at the University, developing relationships with faculty and staff, and interacting with prospective candidates.

“A-Z” Employer Alumni Menu:

Develop a “menu” of alumni names from a specific graduating class who are associated with different industries. Menu is made available to students to connect and network with alumni who have a background within their career interests.

Career Immersion Program:

Build relationships with students and recruit for current or future experiential learning and full-time employment by hosting an employer site visit at your organization, which may include a tour, employee meet and greet, open networking, and information panel.

Employer Advisory Board:

Serve in an advisory capacity for one year as a recruitment expert and champion of the Career Center's vision, mission, services, and programs. Members share insights with colleagues and facilitate recruitment partnerships.

Employer Discussion Panel:

The Career Center conducts employer panels on various topics for students - volunteer to discuss a job search topic in your area of expertise, while highlighting your organization with students.

Falcon Partnership Program:

Participate in a half or full day on campus to engage and interact with students in a reserved space within the Career Center. Share your knowledge and expertise to support a student’s career preparation by utilizing this space for activities such as resume reviews, mock interviews, and information panels.

Lunch and Learn Event:

Present information about your organizational culture, available positions, training programs, advancement opportunities, and interview practices within your organization for interested students.

Resume Critiques:

Tap your expertise and leverage the years of experience you have reviewing resumes - consider volunteering your time to critique individual student resumes and provide constructive feedback in brief 15-minute sessions.

Student Union Networking:

Reserve a table in our Bowen-Thompson Student Union to present your organization to the Bowling Green State University community in a high traffic area - nearly 12,000 students, faculty and staff enter the student union daily!
