Join in with BGSU's Opening Weekend festivities while making our university more sustainable! Each year BGSU Dining Services & the Office of the Dean of Students collaborate to host a "low-waste" picnic for all first year students before the start of classes. This picnic features locally-sourced food, as well as waste reduction/ diversion strategies such as recycling, composting, & bulk packaging.
The Office of Campus Sustainability takes this opportunity to educate incoming students on proper recycling procedure, so students can live sustainably throughout their studies at BGSU!
