My name is Chelsie Schmitz and I am originally from Wayne, Ohio. Wayne is a small town about 20 minutes southeast of Bowling Green, so I was extremely familiar with this town prior to my time at BGSU. Unlike most people that enroll in BGSU, I did not want to come to BGSU. I wanted to go far away for college and experience a new area, but because BGSU is so affordable and I received a tuition waiver and numerous scholarships, I packed my bags and moved to BGSU. A fun fact about myself: I came to college as a pre-dental major, but after taking BA 1500 and connecting with a BGSU alumna who was passionate about her career in supply chain, I switched my degree to both supply chain and international business. Since I have joined the CoB, I have involved myself with numerous organizations, had three internships and was able to study abroad in France for an entire semester, which really got me out of my comfort zone and  was an incredible experience. Beyond academics and extracurricular activities, I enjoy reading, traveling, biking, and spending time with my family and friends. The CoB has connected me with some of my best friends in life and also influential people who have made a major impact on my life. My time in the College of Business has made me realize experiences are truly what you make them, and BGSU has been nothing short of amazing to me. I would not be who I am without the CoB, which is why I joined Student Ambassadors, to share my love of this college. After graduation in May 2018, I will be starting my career in supply chain with John Deere in the Supply Management Development Program and cannot be more excited for what the future has to bring!
