Hi! I am Ameera and I am a senior at the College of Business at Bowling Green State University studying supply chain management with a minor in marketing. I am from Bay Village, Ohio and a daughter of two falcon flames. Their constant love of the university and their nostalgic memories pushed me to at least apply and take a look at BGSU in spring of 2013. Visiting the campus and learning about the great programs offered by the college won me over and I packed my bags with eager parents to attend that next year.
My years here in the College of Business have been meaningful due to the many relationships with faculty, and peers I have developed. It is these bonds that make this college so meaningful to me. I have had the chance to work with Susan Kosakowski with recruitment. I have been able to serve my fellow diverse students and support them through Dean’s Advisory Council on Diversity and Inclusion (DACODI), and I have been able to develop friendships and network connections with fellow ambassadors, and peers through the many programs and events held in our college. When I am not serving my college, I enjoy staying active with tennis and running, and I also have a passion for music and attend many College of Musical Art events.
As a senior, my time at University is beginning to close, and I continually look upon my future career plans. I have had two internships with Honda North America Inc. in Marysville Ohio within procurement and thoroughly enjoyed those. I plan on searching for one more internship for summer of 2018 in marketing before applying for post-graduation full time jobs and then graduating December of 2018. Through my classes, internships, and professional development programs, I feel that the College of Business has prepared me to have a successful business career.
