"As a non-traditional transfer student, changing states and schools was challenging...everyone I have met has been very helpful with the transition."

I am a fifth-year student at Bowling Green State University.  I am currently dual degree seeking with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Accounting and International Business as well as a Bachelor of Arts – Asian Studies with a minor in Japanese.  I started out attending Missouri State University and transferred to BGSU almost three years ago to finish out my undergraduate level courses.

In my free time I enjoy playing baseball and volleyball, going kayaking, spending time with friends, and listening to music.  With being from Missouri, I don’t get to go home often to see family and friends, but it is always a priority whenever possible.  A fun fact would be that I can name every single Pokemon, Generation 1-8.

After graduation I hope to pursue a Masters Degree in International Business.  I would like to work for an international company, either in their U.S. location or abroad, with a special area of interest being Japan.

A word I would use to describe the Schmidthorst College of Business would be “family.”  The Schmidthorst College of Business and the people involved with it are incredibly supportive and welcoming.  As a non-traditional transfer student, changing states and schools was challenging.  My Schmidthorst College of Business Advisor and everyone else I have met have been very helpful with the transition and have made me feel at home.  They also push me to be my best and wish for me to succeed in all areas of life.
