Master of Organization Development

The Executive Master of Organization Development is a nationally renowned program that can help you develop change leadership skills necessary for success in today’s global landscape.  It was the first program of its type in the nation and emphasizes professional development to become a better leader.

Residency weekends take place twice per semester for the Fall and Spring semesters. The weekend schedule is Friday from 4:00 – 9:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 – 5:00 PM, Sunday 8:00 – 3:00 PM. On Friday, a dinner is served between 5:30 – 6:00 PM. During the weekend, breakfast is available from 7:30 – 8:00 AM. Lunch is served from 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Refreshments are provided throughout the day. During the Summer semester, students complete two online courses.

When not in the classroom, students continue to interact with their cohort and instructors through discussion boards, online chats, video conferencing, conference calls, reviewing videos of lectures and more.

Each cohort enters the program together and graduates at the same time to foster lasting relationships and extensive networking among students. The cohort is made up of managers, directors, consultants, human resources professionals from the public, private, non-profit, and academic sectors.

The curriculum consists of ten courses, two per semester, designed to educate students on increasing the effectiveness of individuals and organizations. There is also an international trip that focuses on applying organization development principles in contexts and cultures outside of the United States.
