MacArther "Mac" Plumart
MRP Capital Investments, LLC
MacArther "Mac" Plumart graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1998. Prior to attending BG, he spent 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. During that time, he was an infantry/reconnaissance Marine and his tour of duty included a stint with a Special Operations Capable Marine Expeditionary Unit. Upon graduating from Bowling Green, he started his career in finance with Merrill Lynch in Atlanta, GA. At Merrill, he quickly rose to the level of Vice-President within their Global Private Client Group. During this time he also received many awards and professional designations, including the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. In 2005, he decided to leave Merrill Lynch and start an investment firm with a partner. He ended up growing that firm into one of the top investment firms in Atlanta, prior to selling his interest and leaving the firm in 2013.
Mr. Plumart is currently the President of MRP Capital Investments, LLC. And much like his prior two business engagements, the firm is flourishing under his leadership. In fact, Mac was recently named one of Atlanta's Top Wealth Managers. A piece detailing this award appeared in the October 2014 edition of Atlanta Magazine.
Since his graduation from BGSU, Mr. Plumart has been active in supporting the school in many ways. He has been a member of the Dean's Council, on the Board of Continuing Education, was a driving force behind getting the Student Investment Fund established, but his biggest passion is helping BG students make a successful transition to the business world.
