Center for Business Analytics Advisory Board
The Center for Business Analytics Advisory Board is comprised of successful alumni and friends of the Department of Applied Statistics and Operations Research. The Board draws upon their professional expertise to advise the Dean, Department Chair, and faculty on strategic planning, curricula, student mentorship, co-ops, job placement, career development, faculty engagement with industry, and alumni affairs. In addition, the Board promotes the Department by highlighting the achievements of faculty, students, and alumni in their professional network. The Board meets once or twice per year. Members are expected to attend meetings and be available to advise the Chair between meeting(s).

Christoph Egel is the Director – BIS Solution Design & Delivery at Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. He is responsible for strategically engaging Cooper’s business functions in designing and implementing overall technology solutions across the firm. Prior to joining Cooper in March 2016 as the Director of Infrastructure & Operations, Christoph spent 25 years in IT Executive Leadership roles in Germany, Fance and the USA, including CIO positions at Delphi Electronics, Tempur-Pedic, MAG IAS and Remy International.

Ravi has extensive experience leading digital and multi-channel marketing and optimization initiatives for several well-known brands across North America, Europe and Asia. He joined the Zillow Group in June 2020, now serving as the Senior VP - Integrated Marketing. In that role, Ravi helps Comcast optimize Marketing and Sales ROI of the $40 billion business that consistently ranks among top marketers in the US. Prior to that, he led the Marketing Intelligence and Analytics group at Comcast Cable, the nation's largest pay TV and broadband provider. And prior to Comcast, Ravi was a Managing Director of Ogilvy & Mather’s Network Analytics & CRM Team.

Malavika has 25 years experience in IT roles that span across technologies and business processes in several industries. She has been with Owens Corning since mid-2005, and has held leadership roles that included global SAP deployments, solutions delivery and the transformation of global shared services; and now serves as the Director IT & Analytics Center of Excellence. Prior to Owens Corning, Malavika was with i2 Technologies, leading the consulting practice in the Americas, working with customers across process and consumer industries, and the global energy and chemicals vertical that developed and deployed planning solutions for the oil & gas industry.

James is currently the Portfolio Leader, Revenue Optimization at O-I, where he has been serving for 21 years. Prior to his current role, he served as the Director, Enterprise SAP at Melbourne, Australia, and was responsible for delivery of global SAP template to APAC region (Australia, New Zealand, China, Indonesia, Singapore), as well as IT solution delivery and program management office. James joined O-I in 2000 and has worked in many functions within IT over the past 22 years. He is also a MBA candidate at BG.

Travis has spent the last 19 years working for Marathon Petroleum and its wholly owned subsidiary, Speedway LLC. While with the company, he has held IT roles that span across technologies and business processes, and has been leading the Data Science & Emerging Technologies team at Marathon Petroleum since the beginning of 2019.
