Speaker Suzanne Goetz


Suzanne Goetz received her Ph.D. in Nursing in Dec 2014. Her nursing career started over thirty years ago. Dr. Goetz has worked in a variety of healthcare settings. She currently serves in Public Health, Researcher, and Educator roles. She is a Certified Nurse Educator. Clinically and academically, Dr. Goetz is interested in developing the nursing workforce and cultivating evidence-based practice and research, restraint reduction, transcultural nursing, and suicide prevention. She is active in several professional organizations including the American Nurses Association and Nebraska Nurses Association. Her research has focused on nursing topics including Decisional Involvement, Missed Care, Bullying and Incivility, and Behavioral Health Restraint Reduction. Dissemination of her research and knowledge has been shared at local, state, and national conferences and publications. She is the recipient of Nursing Excellence and the March of Dimes Nurse of the Year awards and inducted into Sigma Theta Tau the nursing honor society.
