Sexual Assault Awareness Month 5K and Dog Walk
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and educate communities on how to prevent it. Each year, Recreation and Wellness and the Center for Violence Prevention and Education sponsor the SAAM 5k and Dog Walk.

Time: 9 AM - Packet Pickup | 10 AM - 5K | 10:15 AM - Dog Walk
Location: Race begins and ends at the Student Recreation Center
Cost: BGSU Students: $15 | Non-Students: $20
Show your support for Sexual Assault Awareness Month
and stay active by participating in the SAAM 5K and Dog
Walk! This event is a fundraiser and benefit for the Center for Violence Prevention and Education and The Cocoon, which provides crisis intervention and emotional support for victims of sexual assault, stalking, sexual harrassment and sex trafficking.
Participants receive a t-shirt and dogs receive a bandana, guaranteed only for registrations received by April 2. Registration is required.
Physical distancing, properly worn face coverings (covering the nose and mouth) and adherence to all BGSU COVID-19 exposure mitigation strategies is required throughout this event. Complete and up-to-date policies and safety procedures will be provided to all event registrants.
