The Language Service Group is a project developed by three BGSU faculty members with grant support from the Division of Research and Economic Development. LSG translation, interpreting, and language consulting staff include BGSU faculty, graduate students, and affiliates.
Dr. Amy Robinson is an associate professor of Spanish and Latin American Studies in BGSU's World Languages and Cultures. She has traveled extensively throughout Latin America, and she spent four years living, working and studying in Mexico. She currently researches and teaches about Latin American literatures and cultures at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
Dr. Timothy Pogačar is a member of the Russian faculty in BGSU's World Languages and Cultures. He is fluent in Russian and Slovene languages and has done substantial general, technical, and literary translating. Dr. Pogacar is active in the Society for Slovene Studies and Midwest Slavic Association.
Dr. Irina Stakhanova is an executive director of Language Services Group. She is an associate professor of Russian in BGSU's World Languages and Cultures. She is a native speaker of Russian and has provided translation, interpreting, and voiceover services for government agencies and businesses since 1992. She is a certified tester in RFLCE (Russian as a Foreign Language Certificate Examination).
