An expanded definition of photographic portraiture is explored in this exhibition of works by 27 renowned artists curated by Lynn Whitney, Andrew Hershberger & Jacqueline Nathan. It will be shown at Slocumb Gallery and the Reece Museum at East Tennessee State University in October. A catalogue with an introduction by Andrew Hershberger will accompany the exhibition. Jess T. Dugan is an artist whose work explores issues of gender, sexuality, identity, and community. Dugan’s first monograph Every breath we drew was published in 2015 by Daylight Books and she was selected by the White House as a 2015 Champion of Change.
