Daniel McInnis holds an MFA in Photography from Savannah College of Art and Design and a BFA in Film and Photography from Ithaca College. He has taught at Ithaca College, American University in Dubai, School of Visual Arts (NYC), John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and Wittenberg University. Prof. McInnis currently teaches for the School of Art in both the Photography and First-Year Programs, and in the BGSU Honors College.
Prof. McInnis works with both digital and analog materials. His main source of image-making is with an 8x10 view camera. His piece entitled “Heidi and Lily, Ohio” was a finalist and shortlisted for the 2016 Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition at the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution. This work has also been exhibited in a national tour of four additional museums.
