The College of Arts and Sciences provides advising and information to all undergraduates interested in pursuing a postgraduate legal education.
Students interested in law have two advisors, an Academic Advisor and a Pre-Law Advisor. For questions regarding course selection necessary to fulfill your major, please contact your Academic Advisor. You can find your Academic Advisor on MyBGSU or by going into your home department office. Students who have not yet declared a major or who seek to change their major should contact an academic advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences Office.
Your Pre-Law Advisor can help you learn more about law school. The Pre-Law Program coordinates informative meetings and hosts guest speakers from regional law school admissions offices. For juniors and seniors starting the law school application process, your Pre-Law Advisor serves as a resource for identifying suitable law school programs, preparing for the LSAT exam, and assembling application materials.
Before you declare a major, your Pre-Law Advisor will be Dr. Jacqueline Sievert [firstname.lastname@example.org]. Once you declare a major, your major department may have a Pre-Law Advisor (see below). If your major department does not have a Pre-Law Advisor, Dr. Jacqueline Sievert will continue to be your point of contact for the Pre-Law Program.
