ADJUNCT WRITING INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS

2022-2023 Academic Year

The University Writing Program at Bowling Green State University is hiring qualified adjunct instructors to teach in a dynamic first-year composition program beginning in August 2022. These part-time positions carry a maximum of 9 credit-hours per semester. BGSU, the English Department, and the University Writing Program are committed to faculty diversity as a way to strengthen the preparation of students for life in an increasingly diverse society. The English Department and University Writing Program supports adjunct faculty engagement in on-campus professional development opportunities through supplemental stipends to recognize the time and labor engagement with such opportunities carries.

Qualifications:

  • minimum of MA in Rhetoric and Composition or related field, by August 2022
  • evidence of successful experience teaching college-level academic writing
  • formal professional preparation in the teaching of first-year composition
  • demonstrated commitment to inclusive teaching
