The English Department of Bowling Green State University seeks a poet to serve as the College of Arts & Sciences Distinguished Visiting Writer.
The successful candidate will be in residence spring 2019; teach one workshop in our BFA program and one workshop in our MFA program; give a public reading and a lecture; and advise theses.
1) MA, MFA or Ph.D. by time of employment.
2) At least one book of poetry.
3) Documented critical recognition consistent with a writer of national reputation.
4) Evidence of strong undergraduate and graduate teaching.
Experience advising creative writing theses at graduate level

Complete applications will include: 1) Cover letter outlining qualifications relevant to the position; 2) CV; 3) At least three current (dated within the past year) letters of reference; 4) Writing sample (one book); 5) A list of courses taught with brief descriptions of each; 6) 1- 2 samples of undergraduate and/or graduate syllabi; 7) Transcript showing terminal degree
