Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN/BSN Completion Program)

Graduates of associate degree or diploma programs can earn a bachelor’s degree with a major in nursing at BGSU Firelands. This completion program provides for flexibility and an individualized approach for the nurse who is already practicing.
Prior to program application submission, the following prerequisites must be completed with a grade of C or better: Writing, Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Microbiology, Statistics, Ethics, Life Span Development, and Computer Basics.
A student may be evaluated for admission to the program if he or she has:
1. A minimum GPA of 2.5;
2. Successfully completed selected National League for Nursing Examinations or substitute;
3. A current State of Ohio license;
4. Completed Nursing General Ed requirements;
5. Graduated from an NLN accredited school
Program applications are due in the Nursing Advisor’s office by October 1 for Spring Semester matriculation and by May 1 for Fall Semester matriculation.
There are 30 hours in the nursing major and all nursing courses are online, with any clinical completed where the student resides. Once admitted to the Program, the Plan of Study can be one course a semester, two courses a semester, three courses a semester or full-time. 123 semester credit hours are required for graduation. The BGSU College of Health and Human Services awards this degree in cooperation with the University of Toledo College of Nursing.
