Clark family gift helps more students belong, stand out, go far
A contribution from two enduring BGSU supporters is helping the University create an environment of inclusivity where everyone can thrive.
BGSU recently received a sizeable gift from Jacquelyn ’67, ’77 and David Clark to establish an inclusive postsecondary education program at BGSU Firelands for students with intellectual disabilities. In honor of this donation, the Board of Trustees named the Clark Inclusive Scholars Program.
Students in the program will spend an average of 20 hours or more on the Firelands campus attending classes, gaining work experience and receiving individualized instruction and support. Learning experiences will focus on the development of academic, social and career skills that lead to competitive employment, meaningful careers and community membership.
