Guidelines for faculty and staff seeking foundation support
The BGSU Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) is responsible for the development and management of relationships between Bowling Green State University and companies and foundations. Our goal is to work with BGSU faculty, staff and administrators to develop and submit proposals that have the best chance of receiving funding. The CFR office serves as a clearinghouse for all solicitations to companies and foundations; therefore, it is essential that faculty and staff communicate with the CFR office to ensure consistency in submissions across campus.
Funding requests should not be sent to corporations or foundations without consulting the CFR office.
For Faculty and Staff Seeking Foundation Support
The CFR Office works closely with the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research (SPAR); together, the offices can help with:
- researching potential funding sources;
- determining whether a proposal should be submitted under the umbrella of the BGSU Foundation or Bowling Green State University. This is critical to streamline the application, award, and grants accounting processes;
- assisting with proposal and budget creation;
- submitting a proposal.
Staff from both offices would like to meet with you well ahead of deadline to discuss your project. Please contact Pam Conlin, Vice President for University Advancement (pconlin@bgsu.edu or 419-372-7706), or Tom Kornacki, Director of SPAR (tkornac@bgsu.edu or 419-372-2481), to set up an appointment.
